WinRAR is a great and popular way to share files on the internet with friends. But sometimes you want it is viewing available only for  yourself or the visitors who have your permission, or even family will see the files. Here is a step by step tutorial on how to encrypt RAR files.

1. Create a new RAR file, and drag the files you want in it, as you always do. Alternatively, you can Right Click the file and press “Add to Archive“.

2. As you do this, the following menu should pop up. In there, click the “Advanced” tab and then “Set Password” on the middle-right.

3. Now you can set the password. “Encrypt File Names” makes the user write the password before seeing the RAR.

4. Click “OK” And now the file is password-protected!

The process is easy to handle but really help us a lot in preventing others from viewing our important files.
