Sprint the exclusive carrier of the 4G HTC Evo has admitted that it over stated the first day sale of the phone.

Though Sprint declared that the sale of HTC Evo 4G were three times the first day sale of Samsung Instinct

and Palm Pre combined. Though sprint gave no specific reasons about why it misspoke regarding this matter,

sales of the HTC Evo were in with the Samsung Instinct and Palm Pre. Analyst believe that sprint sold around

150,000 of the phones, far less than its estimated forecast of 250,000 to 300,000. 

Moreover with the launch of the Apple Iphone 4G, the HTC Evo is looking for a strong competition in the 4G 

smartphone market in the coming days.
