Problem identification

In this case study, The Problem occurred where the foreign aid workers approached the villagers on developing the water system and developing the country but due to lack of knowledge the villagers could not understand what technology is and would bring to them in their lives regardless of the ease of the technology. Villagers were not educated and understanding towards changes, Due to living in the normal life with out technology they are immune to do things on their own and donot accept any alteration towards their lives.

Communication barrier is one of the most important problem found in this article. There is no understanding without communication where the foreign aid workers have no chance to communicate with the villagers with out letting them understand what technology is and what benefits can it provide to the villagers and the country.

The foreign aid workers should use understanding as an integral part where they are suppose to find a solution this problem due to lack of knowledge. The workers should ask the villagers on how or what they want to change rather than changing with out understanding. Ask the villagers if the pipes installed should be a problem for them due to any reasons or if they want some thing different that can be done to improve the situation.

Even after installation of the pipes other basic problem that evolves is on the usage of the tap water pipes where the villagers have no knowledge on how to use the technology and they shall be educated to the understanding on how to use it but still they will hold back on using the technology to its fullest prospective.

My opinion:

According to my understanding as a reader the main problem is communication. One of the things that can be done is to find appropriate person  who understands the situtation from both the sides and the technology of for their advantage the person should try to communicate for both the sides on what the villagers want and what message is being conveyed to the foreign aid workers. A Middle man should be a good idea.

Second, solution can be where the foregin aid workers are suppose to do their research properly on what are the needs and the wants of the villagers. After understanding the needs and the wants they should talk with the main person or controller of the land and discuss what solution is given for their problems and what it can bring to them as ease.

Thridly, even before implementation of the technology the villagers should be taught and give knowledge about how to use the technology that will be implemented ion the future.Even after implementation they should be provided with help and support again to make use of the technology.
