Tips to Pamper Your Feet with Pedicure











Though we are concern about face and other parts of the body, but most people don’t take care of their feet. Pain in heels, crack on feet and rough skin often make us embarrass. To get rid of this try pedicure at home; it is a complete solution for your feet.


 


 


During a pedicure you have to concentrate on your legs, feet and toe nail. Before starting the procedure check the list you need to do it. You can buy a pedicure kit from store. But if you have nail cutter, nail file, cuticle cutter, brush with soft bristle you can do it without the kit. Add some other materials in this list, these are- body oil or cream for massage, liquid soap or shampoo, luke warm water and a basin or, bath tub or, a bucket for foot bath.


 


Procedure:


 



  1. At first, if your nails are polished then remove the color. Take a cotton ball, soak it with some drop of nail polish remover and use it to remove the color.

  2. Fill the bucket with luke warm water. Drop some liquid soap or, shampoo. Make foam. Drench your feet and soak your toenails thoroughly in the water. Keep your feet 20 minutes in the water to soften the skin.

  3. While soaking your toes in the water brush the toe nails softly. Then rub the bottom of the heel and around the hill with a pumice stone or with that brush.

  4. Remove the soapy water and fill it with fresh luke warm water. Clean your leg, heel, toenails thoroughly. If there is cracks in your feet than rub off the dirt gently with a soft cloth. Don’t rub hard. As that part of skin is already damaged you should take a great care while cleaning.

  5. After washing the legs and feet dry them up. Take special care to dry up the spaces between the toenails, otherwise that place can be infected. Cut the nails, file them with nail filer. Square nail is the new trend now. Cut cuticles with cuticle cuter.

  6. Now use scrub to take away dead cells from your skin. You can by scrub from store or make a home made scrub. Take 1 table spoon full of oatmeal and mix a little amount of milk to make paste. Now scrub your legs and feet with it.

  7. You also can use the skin of apple to rub off your feet as it will make the rough skin smooth.

  8. Now the step to massage. You can buy a foot roller to massage your legs. But your hands are awesome massager. Apply some drop of body lotion or, Almond oil or, olive oil on your legs and feet. Set your fingers, except the thumbs, over your legs and thumbs on the other side. Now massage your legs upwards.


 



  1. There are several ways to massage your legs and feet.


i)                    Traditional foot massage: in this process legs are massaged from knee to feet to maintain moisture on that part of skin.


ii)                   Hot stone massage: in this process volcanic stone is used to do light massage. It helps to make the leg muscles firm and strong.  


iii)                 Aroma oil foot massage: Apply some drop of lavender oil or, any perfumed oil. It will take away any bad odor from feet and toes. Massage in circular movement from toes to knees, especially in between the toe nails. After 10 minutes wash away oils from your skin and pat your legs and feet to dry up.



  1. Choose any of the above mentioned process to massage. Then with the help of cotton remove oil/cream/lotion (whatever you have applied).

  2. If you want to polish your nail place cotton balls in between toes. Apply a base coat of polish. Chose a color and apply it with two or three stroke upwards. If want a darker shade apply another coat.

  3. As you are doing this at home allow the polish to dry up and then go for another.


 


 


Now your feet are ready to tour the world to show its beauty. To maintain a good looking feet clean it everyday and apply lotion or, oil.


To get a crack free feet use any moisturizer and wear cotton socks before going to bed, remove dead cells with pumice stone regularly and if you feel pain there don’t delay to see a doctor. Try these at home and have a happy feet.
