Kobe Bryant an NBA legend
Kobe Bryant is very popular, extremely popular if you include his haters and his followers. He's definitely the NBA's main attraction, for better or worse.
He still has time to build his resume, but as of right now, he hasn't dominated individually or LEAD his teams to the success that these players have. Sure he has 3 championships, but he was a co-star, not the main option, not to mention he's performed horribly in the Finals.
To his credit he has 1 MVP, 2 scoring titles, and the highest individual scoring regular season game in the modern era, with 81 points. Which is not a record by the way, but it's still his best acheivement, and impressive none the less. He just doesn't stack up to the all-time greats.
So is he an NBA legend? I'd have to say no, but he is very well on his way with the shape the Lakers are in now. I'd say he is more of a pop culture icon as of right now.
