A.) Increase Water - The amount of water you drink is absolutely important if you want to effectively burn away stubborn fat. What I recommend for you to do is to drink 1/2 your body weight in ounces each day in order to effectively metabolize fat.


B.) Sleep - Not getting enough sleep is a surefire way to KEEP fat on you. What I recommend for you to do is to aim to get at least 7-8 hours of rest each night. This will keep your metabolism running strong, you'll effectively build lean muscle tissue, and you'll improve your overall health.


C.) Resistance Training - Try to do some form of resistance training at least 3 times a week. What I recommend the most is compound weight lifting (working multiple muscle groups at once). Examples of this workout are bench presses, squats, dead lifts, etc.


D.) Proper Nutrition - Seriously restricting food is a recipe for disaster. Doing this will cause you to lose muscle, lose energy, your metabolism will significantly decrease, and you'll end up with yo-yo weight loss! What I recommend for you to do is to get on a diet program that is based on getting many different types of nutrients, a reasonable amount of calories each day, and has a way for you to boost your metabolism with the foods you eat. I tried a diet like this before and I easily lost 50 pounds of stubborn fat in 8 weeks... permanently!


E.) Get More Fiber and Protein. If you increase the amount of fiber you get each day, this will improve your digestive system, keep you feeling fuller, and you'll increase your metabolism. If you increase the amount of protein you get, you'll burn fat, build lean muscle tissue, and so much more.


Some foods I recommend that are high in fiber are dark green vegetables (spinach, broccoli, etc.), beans, and whole grains. Foods I recommend that are high in protein are chicken/turkey breast, egg whites, whey protein shakes, and yogurt to name a few.
